Yesterday was the day my wardmates and I have been waiting for. It was the day Miss Devi was supposed to meet us. (She promised to treat us all to a meal, you see).
There were only 6 of the ward girls who turned up. The one and only guy in the group, Arul, who was super excited about this outing couldn't make it at the very last minute cause he had asthma attack. Poor boy. So much for the anticipation. heh. The 6 girls are Jefferine, Mawarni, Jalilah, Sandya, Tava and myself. We met at the meeting place, Al-Azhar to have our dinner. Since there were just 6 of us, Miss Devi decided to have dinner somewhere else. Somewhere high class. So, Sandya suggested Harry's. Then off we went to Harry's at the Esplanade. It's a restaurant cum bar. Miss Devi even gave us money for the cabfare. How generous of you, cher. heehee. Miss Devi, Mawarni and Jefferine in one cab while the rest of us in another. Tava had to rush to East Coast Park for a birthday party. So, she left on the way. It's down to 5 ward girls and a favourite lecturer.
I wanted to have my Pussy Foot mocktail but it was so bloody embarrassing to say Pussy to the waiter. So, I settled down with a Shirley Temple.
So did our fave-lecturer and 3 other girls. Wani had her Virgin drink which was so damn sour. Then came the food. Miss Devi and Jefferine had Fish n Chips, Wani enjoying her Smoked Salmon, Jalilah feasting on her BBQ Chicks, Sandy whining on her yummybutburntbased Chicken Pizza and myself devouring my Chicken Fajitas. Yum! We dined, had girly chats and tittered with James Blunt's company around the room. Thanks for making it happen cher!
It was pretty slowmo but still fun. Just missing out our other kakis. We weren't whole. Next time, promise.
After wining and dining, we spent the night at some wow wow wee. Definitely a night to remember. HEE.
